At Prescott Jamieson Murphy Law Group, we understand the challenge of obtaining appropriate academic and special education services in schools, from preschool to high school, and the need for parents to have an advocate to help them navigate this complex and confusing world. We understand how the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 guides these educational decisions. However, we also understand how this intersects with the daily reality of teachers and school staff working with children, and administrative policies which may help or limit the kinds of services available to your child. Sometimes disagreements between a school and parents can interfere with proper accommodations and services for your child.
